Here are the attempts of my friend Jane:

1. I like the people in my hometown, they are very friendly and humor.

2. My hometown is Si Chuan where well-known by spicy food, Si Chuan cuisine is one of famous dishes in our country. The people live in Si Chuan most like eats spicy food.

3. Usually, I go back to my parents home the day before the Spring Festival, and have a delicious dinner and firework with all family. I will stay together with family during the holidays.

4. I’d like to tell you the customs that people making specially sausage in Winter. The day before Spring Festival, every family will making delicious sausage and meats to prepare for Festival. Because it needs a lot of time to dry and make sure the test is delicious.

5. Winter in my hometown are very cold and humid, to tell the truth, I don’t like the weather in Si Chuan.

6. I like nature scenery, so if I have free time, I’d like to climb mountain, or walking around. I like fresh air and green plants.

My comments on the attempts by Jane:

1. I like the people of my hometown because they are friendly and humorous (or humourous).

2. I am from Sichuan, which is well-known for its spicy foods. Sichuan cuisines are popular in our country. Most of the people living in Sichuan like spicy foods.

3. I usually go back to my parents' home on the day before Spring Festival and have a delicious dinner with my family and light up a few fireworks with my family members.

4. One of the customs of my hometown is to make specialty sausages or meats in w inter on the day before Spring Festival. On that day, almost every family would make sausages or meats in preparation for the festival because they it needs a lot of time for the sausages or meats to dry and to make them delicious.

5. Winter in my hometown is very cold and humid. To tell the truth, I do not like the weather in Sichuan.

6. I like to visit natural sceneries when I have free time. I like climbing mountains or walking around scenic places. I like fresh air and green plants too.
